Special Object - Sound Switch

Sound switch serves for switching or resetting sound settings on collision with a camera. The parameters that can be changed include the type of walk noise, colliding dynamic objects and EAX settings. Sound switch is an oriented sphere; its positive hemisphere is marked with an arrow.

Basic properties in the Properties tab

Entity name object name shown in the editor


Env1 opens the environmental presets selection dialog for the positive hemisphere
Env2 opens the environmental presets selection dialog for the negative hemisphere, or the central plane of the sphere
Eax rad. radius of the sphere used for EAX params gradual change (interpolation)
Entire sphere interpolation switches between the entire sphere or only its positive hemisphere (from central plane) for EAX params interpolation


Create new create new preset
Delete delete the selected preset
Name name of the preset
EAX id predefined EAX number
Env. sound volume sets the preset volume

EAX - sets the spatial characteristics of a sound
